Young Adult Reading Program (YARP)

Each year the SD YARP Committee publishes a list to promote quality literature and to help South Dakota teachers and librarians in selecting and promoting books for adolescents.

About the Contest
Sponsored by the South Dakota Library Association, and the Aberdeen McDonald's,the contest features two lists of titles for middle school and high school students.

How to Vote
To qualify to vote, students read a book from the YARP Reading List then vote at YARP Voting and then give the book a star rating of one to four, four being the best. The book receiving the most stars on each list receives the SD YARP award.
