Make plans now to attend the Grand Opening of "New Dawn on the Prairie," the museum's newly renovated agriculture and railroad exhibit. Experience life on the prairie from early settlement with its tarpaper dwelling and horse-drawn equipment to today's computerized farm equipment. A touch screen computer will take you on the westward journey to Dakota Territory from four unique perspectives: government officials, railroad officials, farmers, and women.

The railroad was an important part of the settlement in our region, so the exhibit includes train memorabilia and a model train running through a scale model of early Aberdeen.
Board the train and experience the interior of a luxury passenger car. Relive days gone by and learn about the settlement and development of the Brown County region.
